SATURDAY JUNE 07  |  15:30 ~ 16:00BONNIE HARRIS
live performance
Originally from Tasmania, Australia, and now based in Berlin, Bonnie’s current solo project draws inspiration from ASMR, weaving immersive soundscapes from everyday objects. Using found materials—whether meaningful personal artifacts, discarded trash, or natural elements like rocks, shells, or leaves—she constructs rhythmic and textural backdrops, layering them with vocals or flute to tell stories through lyrics or evoke moods through abstract sound.

Her process often involves live looping, building compositions spontaneously with minimal setup. In one piece, she taps and flips through the pages of a book, integrating its sounds before singing a passage from its text. This approach blurs the line between performance and environmental interaction, turning the mundane into something musical.

She will do a participatory sound walk before performances, guiding group through nearby nature to explore and collect objects for improvisation. Together, participants co-create a sonic palette that later shapes a live piece, transforming the shared experience into a collaborative, evolving composition.
